His & Hers: Happiness Is a Drug, Security Is the Only Cure

There is a saying that I recently heard on a podcast, but I embellished it a little..,

“Happiness is a fleeting feeling that comes and goes like the tide, security is the foundation upon which lasting relationships and peace are built”

I might add that true happiness is having an ever-present peace that allows the ebb and flow of happiness to be a constant in a relationship, as reliable as the sunrise in the morning.

This post examines the subject from separate his and her perspectives.

Part 1: Ladies — Stop Throwing Away Security for “Happiness”

Ladies, “he makes me happy” is why you end up divorced, broke, and bitter.

1. Excitement Is Cheap

That thrilling guy who makes your heart race? He can’t even keep a job. Happiness fades, unpaid bills don’t.

2. You Mistake Stability for Boredom

The man who provides security isn’t boring—he’s the only reason you have a stable life to complain about in the first place.

3. Leaving Stability for Happiness Is Suicide

Trade a secure husband for a “fun” guy, and you’ll eventually realize happiness doesn’t cover rent, raise kids, or protect you when life gets ugly.

Closing thought (for women):

If you throw away security for happiness, don’t act shocked when the thrill fades and nobody’s there to save you.

Part 2: Men — Stop Blowing Up Your Family for a Temporary “Happy” Fix

Men, “she makes me happy” is why you’re broke, alone, and paying child support to a woman who hates you and for kids you only get to see every other weekend if you’re lucky.

1. The Side Chick Isn’t a Savior

That new woman who makes you feel alive? She’ll drain your wallet, your time, and your respect. Happiness is fleeting. Regret lasts forever.

2. You Confuse Lust With Joy

Chasing happiness through women is just chasing lust. The thrill fades, the destruction doesn’t.

3. You Blow Up Stability for a Fantasy

Walking away from a loyal wife and stable family for “fun” is the dumbest investment a man can make. You burn your legacy for a cheap rush.

Closing thought (for men):

If you trade security for happiness, don’t cry when you’re old, broke, and nobody shows up to care for you.

Final Thoughts 💭

Ladies and gentlemen, happiness is a sugar high. Security is the meal.

Build your relationship on happiness, and you’ll starve. Build it on security, and you’ll thrive—even when the thrill is gone.

Chase happiness, lose everything. Build security, keep everything that matters.
