I’m tired of people in this day and age fomenting division and using the human tendency towards tribalism to do it.
In this instance, as indicated by the meme in this post, I’m frustrated with the male/female divide.
The war between feminists and MRAs (Men’s Rights Activists) and other similar groups is going decidedly more mainstream.
People tend to do what is (or appears to be) in their own interests. However, I posit that falling into feminist or MRA narratives demonstrates that many in our modern society lack a fundamental understanding of male/female relationship dynamics.
Men and women are NOT the same. On the surface, egalitarianism between the sexes seems logical and in many respects, it is logical.
I don’t think women belong in the bedroom and out of the boardroom. I also don’t think that women should be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen and nowhere else. That is, was, and always will represent antiquated thinking.
As a Soldier in our Army, I served alongside some of finest Soldiers who just happened to be women.
However, the problems come in when women and men fail to understand that we are different because we are supposed to complement each other.
It takes masculine AND feminine energy to make the world a better place. To raise children and run the world.
No one should ever make their mate the center of their life. A husband is the complement to his wife’s life and vice versa.
Sure, men should take the lead in leading the world, but never at the expense of women. That goes for women in positions of power not doing things at the expense of men.
The meme at the top of my post reminds me of the James Brown song It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World. I’ll end this post with the main part of the lyrics from that song:
This is a man’s world
This is a man’s world
But it wouldn’t be nothing
Nothing! Without a woman or a girl.
