Why SJWs and the People Who Oppose Them Are Stupid

For the uninitiated, “SJW” stands for Social Justice Warrior. An SJW is humorously defined by the Urban Dictionary as “the overly offended, blindly ignorant scum of the Internet who reports anything and everything that offends them”.

The formal definition of the term, according to Merriam-Webster is “an often mocking term for one who is seen as overly progressive”.

The term “progressive” really describes a far-left liberal as opposed to a liberal in the days of John F. Kennedy or even Jimmy Carter. I could argue that former President Barack Obama isn’t a progressive either, but that really isn’t the point of my post. The point is that political ideologies in general are bad enough, but when said ideologies are taken to the extreme, they are even more deleterious to society.

As I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts, all political ideologies are based upon wishful thinking, ergo, they shouldn’t be treated as seriously as they often are. Political ideologies are very much like religious ideologies in that they often become part of a person’s personal dogma. This is why those who act as SJWs and those who vehemently oppose them act so much alike. They are fighting an imaginary war that neither side will ever win.

Politicians are consummate opportunists and take advantage of ideological thinking to divide and conquer the voting public. This sours many eligible voters against the process and into not voting at all because they don’t see the point in voting. After all, isn’t the lesser of two evils still evil?

SJWs delude themselves into thinking that they are fighting for a great cause. As if the Internet alone is a sufficient platform for implementing social change that no one in this country seems to be asking for.

Those who oppose the SJWs tend to be a paranoid lot who think they are losing the society they once knew to radical change, little realizing that change is the inevitable process of existence.

What makes both sides look equally stupid is that they appear to be too stupid to see how politicians and the media are stoking their fears to service their own agendas.

As Dr. King so eloquently opined, there is nothing more dangerous in the world than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
